In 2014, the Section gained experience in sponsoring the Pan African Conference on Science, Communication and Technology (PACT-2014) – in association with the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST). Papers presented during the conference were published in the IEEE XPlore database.
